Release notes
These materials include all documentation supporting trainers and users of the Web App tool.
Next release
Release 4
Release 4 will go live in early August and contain these updates:
- Multiple funding plans: Users will be able to create multiple funding plans for one assessment, including duplicating plans from a previous version.
- Smarter notifications and status handling: Fewer, more useful notifications, plus more flexibility to move assessments back a status.
- Improved dashboard: Clearer filters and labels, new columns, organisation switching for managers, and full assessment history always accessible.
- Clearer assessment process: Required fields marked, mandatory Assessment Date, always-downloadable assessments, and an improved progress bar.

Previous releases
Release 3
Release 3 went live in late May and introduced these upgrades to the Web App:
- Before school life stage refined: The preschool life stage was be split into four life stages, offering more contextual ‘Important Information’ statements.
- Dashboard view updated: The ‘assigned’ column is added to the actions required view, allowing filtering of assessments/plans per status, for example, ‘MyDSS Funding Plan’.
- Updating sections: The sections ‘Situations, Life Transitions, Support Multiplier, Tool Reliability, and Override’ were removed from the navigation bar.
- Manager reassign/update details: Managers can re-assign an assessment to another person in their organisation, and update personal details, for example people’s names.
- MyDSS Funding Plan enhancements: Includes updating the character limit of the description, adding ‘Provider’ and ‘Notes’ fields, ‘unique ID’, and improving the download.
- End assessment: Assessments can be ended while in-progress, with a reason captured, for example ‘Requires Residential Care’, or ‘DSS no longer required’.
- Bulk import/export of Indicative Ranges: To make the IR creation process more efficient.
Training pack
Release 2.1
Release 2.1 went live on Wednesday 15 April, and introduced some minor functionality to improve assessment, MyDSS Funding Plan, and Indicative Range support. This included:
- Improved assessment download: A new ‘Mindmap’ option for downloading completed assessments to share with the disabled person.
- MyDSS Funding Plan update: ‘Indicative Range (IR)’ field replaced with ‘Total cost’.
- IR Support team – request more info: Our IR team can return assessments to the NASC/EGL for more information before completing the IR.
