Global Pricing Tool
The Global Pricing Tool (GPT) is an important component of the Community Group Home Pricing Model.
It is used in the setting of prices for community residential supports and informs both current pricing and sustainable pricing into the future.
The GPT estimates fair and reasonable prices for community residential supports using estimated costs.
It considers a range of house sizes and capacities, in different regions, with different levels of support delivered.

Global Pricing Tool assumptions
The GPT makes informed assumptions about the costs of delivering community residential support. It uses a range of data, including staffing, client related expenses, core housing costs, maintenance and utility costs, and provider overheads.
Keeping facility information updated
Providers are expected to keep DSS updated on any changes to its facilities. Ensuring this information is accurate, and consistent, is a key part of this new residential pricing model.
NASCs and EGL sites support DSS to ensure that funding for residential services is allocated fairly against the new funding schedule. This includes confirming that providers are consistently defining the size of their facilities, and other inputs.
