Management of NASC and EGL Site Budgets Operational Policy
This operational policy sets out how DSS expects Needs Assessment and Service Coordination (NASC) organisations and Enabling Good Lives (EGL) sites to manage funding within their annual budgets.
It was previously referred to as Operational Policy and Guidelines 2025/26 Financial Year - Management of NASC and EGL site budgets.
Review Panel Terms of Reference update July 2026
Please note that this operational policy does not apply to the Forensic Coordination Service, which provides NASC services under the High and Complex Framework.
From 3 July 2026, the thresholds for referring support packages to the Review Panel has increased from over $112,000 to:
- Band 3 or above in the Community Group Home Pricing Model for residential support services; and
- over $150,000 for other packages.
The Review Panel can now consider applications where a person’s allocation increases due to the application of DSS’s recently released allocation and pricing models for the first time, irrespective of a change in support needs.
