Disability Support Services (DSS) invites suitably qualified providers to bid for the Cochlear Implant Programme (CIP) Request for Proposal (RFP).
DSS is looking for a provider who can deliver the CIP throughout Aotearoa New Zealand to eligible recipients with severe hearing loss or profound deafness.
The CIP is a comprehensive whole of life service that involves cochlear implant (CI) assessment, CI surgery, audiology services, rehabilitation and habilitation services, provision and management of CI devices, and ongoing maintenance and support for recipients.
Alongside the provision of clear leadership, coordination, budget and professional expertise, the provider must demonstrate a person-centred approach which focuses on the needs of the person and their family/whānau.
The proposed contract term is 5 + 5 years (10 years in total) with a start date of 1 July 2026.
The RFP, Service Specification and supporting documents are available to download through the Government Electronic Tender Services Site external (GETS).
All enquires must be submitted through the Q&A function via GETS no later than 5pm, 2 April 2026.
Interested suppliers must submit their proposals electronically via GETS by 5pm, 30 April 2026.
