Compensation Advisory Services awarded Forensic Coordination Service (Intellectual Disability) contract

Compensation Advisory Services will take over the provision of the Forensic Coordination Service (Intellectual Disability) (FCS ID) contract from November 2025.

Compensation Advisory Services (CAS), which operates the NASC Lifelinks,  was selected following an open procurement process to re-commission the service.

FCS (ID) is a specialised service, which provides needs assessment and service coordination for people with an intellectual disability who access the High and Complex Framework.

In March 2024, the FCS (ID) was temporarily transferred from Health New Zealand to Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People, and then to Disability Support Services (DSS) at MSD. While at DSS, actions were taken to stabilise and strengthen the service.

A managed transition is underway to ensure it is seamless for all parties.
